Prague Old Town

Prague Old Town is located in Vltava River, central Bohemia and it isthe largest city of Czech Republic. The Prague Old City has beenincluded in the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. It has also been calledthe golden city. This is the sixth most visited city in the entireEurope. The name of the old town was original called the Old TownSquare. The old city has many historic buildings and sites.
The Prague Old Town has its origin from the 13th century, but only got its name in the 14th century when the new townwas formed. It has been the Old Town Square with the presence of thechurch and the town hall in the center. Some of the famous sites tospend time in the old town of Prague are Powder Gate, Municipal HouseCelenta Street, Estate Theater, Old Town Square, Carolinum, Church ofOur Lady and the list could just go on and on.The Church of Our Lady was built in 1365 and is a Gothic church. Thebest piece of art in the church is the entrance portal which hasbeautiful Christ pictures and the huge Rococo Altar. The church hadbeen used for many big concerts because of its sound pipe organ. TheOld Town Square has been the main focus since the 10th century. It isknown for both its magnificent and catastrophic events. Today, ittotally commercialized and offers a good holiday feel to tourists.
